Layout
How do you create a clear and attractive annual report in an era of increased demands for sustainability, digital reporting, and international coordination? Together with ITAB, we have developed both a design that meets these requirements and an efficient working process.
ITAB develops and delivers retail solutions – from lighting to checkout systems – that improve the customer experience, efficiency, and sales in the retail sector.
Byn produces ITAB’s annual and sustainability report in both Swedish and English. In 2025, we produced our fifth report together.
Production takes place in CtrlPrint, where we and the client work in parallel within a shared system. This enables a flexible workflow where content, design, and adjustments can be managed continuously.

Increased Demands – Greater Scope
ITAB is required to prepare a sustainability report disclosing the environmental, social, and economic impacts of its operations. The report covers the environment, personnel, human rights, and anti-corruption, and must provide a fair and accurate view of the company’s work.
A more comprehensive reporting process places even higher demands on a clear format and structure, ensuring the report is easy to follow.
Greenstep, with whom we have previously collaborated on sustainability advisory services, assisted as a sounding board for the layout and content.

Technical Requirements and Digital Reporting
In addition to the content requirements, ITAB must also report its financial data in accordance with ESEF (European Single Electronic Format). This means that the information must be machine-readable and comparable according to EU standards.
For us, this means that production must be adapted to technical requirements, ensuring that both design and structure function effectively in a digital, standardized format.

A new look as the brand grows
Last year, ITAB acquired HMY, becoming the European leader in retail solutions. In connection with this, the company developed a new look and feel, which we applied to the annual report. The report’s expression and format had already changed back in 2023, when it transitioned to a landscape layout.
A modern, comprehensive, and technically advanced annual report that meets high standards for content, design, and digital reporting – while strengthening ITAB’s market communication.
This year’s annual report totals 164 pages and is produced simultaneously in both Swedish and English.
The delivery consists of: A printed version, a print-optimized version (landscape A4), and an interactive web version.
In total, six versions are being produced (two languages across three formats).
