Studentbo - close to everything.

Studentbo in Norrköping is located right in the city center, directly adjacent to the campus, and has an unusually close relationship with its tenants. However, it has suffered somewhat from being overshadowed by its parent company, Hyresbostäder. We helped them cut the umbilical cord and get a new, independent identity.

A unique graphic profile, a good image library, and a message platform. An approach that suits a young, student target group, challenging and modern, but in a tone that also appeals to and provides security for their parents. That was the request from Studentbo in Norrköping.

Insight work

After insight work and a workshop, we concluded that the most unique aspect of Studentbo can be summarized in one word: proximity. All of the company’s housing is located a stone’s throw from campus, from the city, and from all the services you as a student might need. Furthermore, there is a close relationship and communication between the company and the students, embodied in Studentbo’s student and housing managers. This became the starting point for our work with the message platform, image library, and graphic profile.

New graphic profile

Studentbo’s new logotype received a modern and stable appearance. A tightly kerned typeface, which creates a compact word image, possible to use in both horizontal and vertical, broken formats. We also created marks and splashes as complementary message carriers and graphic elements. The colors combine calmness and vibrancy, to achieve a mix of security and boldness. In terms of messaging, we focused on the clear USPs, with proximity in focus, but also highlighted Studentbo’s generous housing guarantee and the great mix of different housing types and buildings.

Image library

We also built an image library, with both still images and moving footage together with photographer Crelle. There, we made sure to get a mix of everyday life in the corridor and on campus, with credible subjects and a blend of color and black and white images.

Campaign website

When all the components were in place, we built a campaign website. Easy to navigate, easy to manage, and more target-group oriented than the parent company’s site, but with all the essential information for those who are about to move to Norrköping to study. Not least, a clever test that guides you to which Studentbo is actually the best for you.
