With Onify Residents, citizens, entrepreneurs and property owners get access to the municipality’s services – gathered in one place, available 24/7.
A portal that makes life easier for both citizens and municipal employees – but which needed to be clarified and highlighted so that all municipalities would see what a goldmine they had access to.

Building permit application. Garbage collection schedule. Absence notification. Boat mooring. Serving permit.
An ordinary Swedish municipal resident needs to log in to a number of different places to manage life – not least if they also run a business.
Onify builds portals, and the real hero product is Onify Invånare, a neutral, open and data-driven portal that integrates with the municipality’s existing systems, regardless of supplier. In addition, it is easy to both implement and use.

Onify Invånare (Citizens) is already used by several municipalities but has the potential to reach all of Sweden.

Byn assisted with a brand repositioning – through a new graphic identity, including a new logo, as well as a messaging platform. During the project, Byn identified the need for a logo system flexible enough to adapt to all possible offerings, both existing and future. We took inspiration from Onify’s existing philosophy but simplified its application by developing a more streamlined symbol, logotype, color palette, and a naming system for all of Onify’s services.

We also changed the font, to Spline Sans for headlines and Plus Jakarta Sans for body text. A combination that balances personality with function and visually reflects the logo’s design language.

In addition to the design language, typography and logo system, we also developed a new color palette. The new palette signals reliable technology with a modern but toned-down expression. We wanted to highlight Onify’s stability and intelligence, but at the same time maintain a warm undertone. The challenge was to find an expression that communicates both technology and humanity, to find a good balance between functionality and emotion.

The common denominator in all visual work was to create a systematic and uniform use of typography, design language and tonality for Onify, regardless of whether the communication is at the brand level or directed towards a specific offering.

We also developed a messaging platform, with the upcoming new website for Onify in mind.
The overall message “Everything in one place. Always available.” summarizes what we mainly want to get across when we talk about Onify Residents – how it simplifies service and citizen dialogue in a municipality. We supplement this with both overall descriptions of the offering and very concrete and concise arguments. All to make the messages useful in different types of sales situations.
A fun assignment for a nice customer with a very good product!
