A website that reflects the business

FM Mattsson Group is a modern, international, publicly listed corporation with a strong focus on sustainability. This needed to be reflected on the company’s website. Byn was commissioned to redesign it from the ground up.

An international group of companies.

FM Mattsson Group is the parent company to several prominent Nordic and European brands specialising in bathroom and kitchen solutions: FM Mattsson, Mora Armatur, Damixa, and others. Based in Mora, Dalarna, the company manages sales and manufacturing for all its European markets.

The website did not accurately reflect the company’s level of ambition. After Byn had assisted with FM Mattsson Group’s annual reports for several years, we were commissioned to redesign and restructure the website, and to supplement it with new content.

Sitemap and Wireframes

FM Mattsson Group had updated its graphic profile, which was reflected in its annual reports and elsewhere, but the website had not been brought in line. The company now wanted the web design to feel more modern, global, and to focus on the company’s sustainability efforts.

We structured the new website into a sitemap, which was then developed into wireframes to illustrate the structure and lay the groundwork for the design work.

We started with the purpose in mind

For the design, we incorporated product and environmental images from the annual report, also to more clearly connect with the industry in which the company operates.

When working on the structure, we focused on the site’s purpose. We want it to be a place where owners, suppliers, and other stakeholders can quickly find the annual report, calendar, and monitor the group’s performance. But also a platform where FM Mattsson Group can showcase itself to potential employees, customers, and partners.

We structured the new website into a sitemap, which was then developed into wireframes to illustrate the structure and provide a foundation for the design work.

Elevating the Sustainability Strategy

Through its brands, the company possesses a significant opportunity, and a substantial responsibility, to make a positive impact on sustainability. Given that nearly all of their operations relate to water, one of the world’s most critical resources, clearly and transparently articulating the company’s sustainability strategy was paramount.

Based on material from FM Mattsson, Byn developed content for the entire new website.

The web development itself was carried out in collaboration with FM Mattsson’s web partner, Daladatorer.
