Länsförsäkringar Bergslagen is a strongly values-driven company, whose entire offering is based on talented and committed employees. When they were going to set their new vision and lay out a new roadmap for the company, it was important to get all employees on board. They enlisted the help of Byn.

The first step was to visualize and concretize the entire roadmap that the company had developed, with the new vision as the main character: “Together we create a safer everyday life and a future full of opportunities.”

We chose to do this in the form of an animated film. Länsförsäkringar Bergslagen has previously, together with Byn, worked extensively with the bicycle as a symbol of long-term sustainability work, not least in the successful Pedalkraft project. That is why we also used the bicycle when the roadmap was to be visualized.

In the film, the cyclist had to follow the path towards the vision. Along the journey, it encounters all the important and newly formulated components of the roadmap: business concept, goals, core values, growth areas, relocation areas. Naturally, cheered on by happy customers along the way.

Step two was to delve into the corporate culture, primarily expressed in the values ​​the company has established:

  • Caring
  • Committed
  • Professional

With Collaboration as a common thread in all work.

Based on this, we made a new film in the same style as the first, where we followed the cyclist’s journey through the company culture, with encouraging reminders of how invaluable the employees are for the company to live up to its mission.

We also created a working document for the employees in the form of a PowerPoint with inspiration and discussion material, which was then used at the company’s upcoming quarterly meeting.

When the values ​​were anchored with the help of film and discussion opportunities, employees were asked to suggest colleagues who had particularly demonstrated their ability to live up to these values, preferably with concrete stories from everyday life. Based on these tips, we conducted interviews that became inspiring examples of how caring, commitment, professionalism and collaboration can be expressed in different contexts and in different departments within Länsförsäkringar Bergslagen. The interviews were published over several months on the intranet, where each value was given a theme for a few weeks.

The messages, visual tools and communication strategy have since been used to further anchor and deepen the corporate culture at the company.
